This years celebration is entitled, "Catholic Education Igniting Hope" and will be celebrated this week. The five Sud-themes: Our Hope in Christ (Monday) The Hope Within Us (Tuesday) The Hope Among Us (Wednesday) Hope for the World (Thursday) A Future Full of Hope (Friday) Our faith teaches us that, as Easter people, our hope is firmly rooted in Jesus. Jesus' love make possible what might otherwise seem impossible, by merely human standards. This week as we celebrate Catholic Education Week, let us share the good news, joyfully being bearers of hope. *The lockdown began on March 25th at midnight Masses... and now extended until May 3rd, exactly 40 days* *Something weird?! It's Biblical* QUARANTINE The Latin root of the word "quarantine" is "forty". So what does the Bible say about 40? In the Bible, forty is often used for time periods; forty days or forty years, which separates "two distinct epochs". -The flood lasted 40 days. -At the age of 40 Moses fled Egypt. -For 40 days Moses stayed in the Mount of Sinai to receive the commandments. -The exodus lasted 40 years. -Jesus fasted for 40 days. -Lent is 40 days. A group of theologians consider the number 40 to represent "change." It is a time to prepare a person or people for a fundamental change. Something will happen after these 40 days. Just believe and pray. Remember, whenever the number 40 appears in the Bible, "change" occurs. May these "quarantine" days bring spiritual liberation to our souls, to our nation and to our world. The best is yet to come. Trust in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit! AMEN!
